Weather Resistance : This material is suitable for all exterior applications where freeze-thaw cycles are a concern. Use TCNA standards for setting in exteriors and consult an engineer regarding fastening systems and tensile strength required for your project.
Water Absorption : This material is virtually non-porous. No sealer is required and it is less likely to stain.
Chemical Resistance: Test Method Unknown
Hardness : This material has relatively high abrasion resistance. It rates as a 7 or higher on the Mohs scale. Quartzite or granite typically fall into this range. This material is less likely to scratch than marble, limestone, onyx, slate, etc.

We search for and offer materials at all price points, and design and develop products to meet specific needs. We stock hundreds of materials in the U.S. for immediate availability and have thousands more available for special order.

We view material education as an extremely important part of the design process, and we do all we can to make this easy for our clients. Our showrooms, website and CEU courses—and even our sample labeling—are all designed to ensure that our clients know what to expect with every material. We also aim to provide information they can share with their clients, with the goal of making sure the end client is happy with their materials.
