Capital 8, in the 8th arrondissement in Paris, began life as the national electric company’s headquarters, but was recently converted into a private office complex. The building was built pre-coworking and pre-hoteling, so it required a serious update.
In a corridor, bands of carpet both guide and delineate. A deep, high-walled sofa allows a modicum of privacy in the open space. The gold wall color references the gilded iron gates of the nearby Parc Monceau.
