Capital 8, in the 8th arrondissement in Paris, began life as the national electric company’s headquarters, but was recently converted into a private office complex. The building was built pre-coworking and pre-hoteling, so it required a serious update.
Lounge-like spaces are partially enclosed by green glass, actually giant screens programmed to display news, weather, and company information. The color green is used throughout, connecting the space with the nearby Parc Monceau, whose gilded iron gates are echoed by the golden rugs in the lobby. Chairs and side tables are mobile, providing options for solo and group activities.
