Founded in 1946, the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation still makes many of its elite guitars by hand. When it seemed a logical time to consolidate offices, Rapt Studi-os was engaged to conceive the new space. Guitars, as one would suspect, prevail. The color palette was inspired by the combination of pale and dark woods found on the company’s instruments. Grey concrete is punctuated by black epoxy; the reception desk is blond oak with a top of solid walnut. The look is professional, but still a bit rock ’n roll.
