On the 36th floor of the iconic W.R. Grace Building in New York, SmithMaran Architecture + Interiors blended uptown polish with the allure of a downtown hotel lounge for Insight Venture Partners. The result is an open, sunny setting, albeit with requisite private spaces. Built-in benches, mirrors, and linen wall coverings add a sense of hospitality, while carefully selected fabrics and leathers project seriousness. It’s the perfect balance to represent the firms elite–but never elitist–culture.
