For the design of its NYC Flagship, the Milan-based apparel and lifestyle brand Moncler reached out to the firm of Gilles & Boissier, with whom they had previously worked on several shops worldwide. The result–a nod to the company’s Gallic origins–plays out like a grand Parisian apartment, with acres of marble, an abundance of carved wood, and rich colors and sumptuous textures throughout.
Black and white Carrara marble alternate on the floor of the main corridor. On the walls, the combination is repeated, albeit in a beautiful, organic interplay of dark and light. The pattern plays out yet again in the dark wood punctuated with bright, cool lighting.
