For the design of its NYC Flagship, the Milan-based apparel and lifestyle brand Moncler reached out to the firm of Gilles & Boissier, with whom they had already worked on several shops worldwide. The result, a nod to the company’s Gallic origins, plays out like a grand Parisian apartment, with acres of marble, an abundance of carved wood, and rich colors and sumptuous textures throughout.
Elsewhere in the store, the floor is covered in a decadent red rug. Here, in a fitting room, the evocative color has been moved to the walls and a wonderfully plush leather banquette. Sconces provide flattering, indirect lighting and some languid ambiance.
