Spring Place Phone Booth

Spring Place, a private club in New York, offers a chic environment for those in the film, art, and design worlds to meet, work, and play. Given the sophisticated audience, Bluarch principal Antonio Di Orono knew the venue would have to impress, supplying dramatic yet casual settings in which its clientele could gather. He looked to the rugged materials of Brutalism, employing a palette of concrete, blackened steel, white oak, and glass–softened with upholstered and wooden furniture from a variety of periods.

In one of two phone booths, walls upholstered in cotton velvet improve acoustics. A wood laminate counter and Shaker-like chair provide a warm and welcoming place to have a quick conversation.
