Combining two 3-bedroom units into one resulted in this 6,400 square foot space. Wunderground Architecture + Design handled the architectural aspects, Damon Liss Design the finishing touches. The overarching idea was not to skimp on luxury. Dark-stained oak floorboards are employed throughout; rooms are punctuated with vintage and contemporary pieces that give personality and life–including Swedish mid-century vases and rugs in Chinese wild silk.

In the aerie cum living room, a giant L-shaped sectional provides seating for everyone. An enormous and subtle, abstract-pattern rug supplies visual interest without distraction. The large wood coffee table is an ideal perch for the owners’ objets.
