Combining two 3-bedroom units into one resulted in this 6,400 square foot space. Wunderground Architecture + Design handled the architectural aspects, Damon Liss Design the finishing touches. The overarching idea was not to skimp on luxury. Dark-stained oak floorboards are employed throughout; rooms are punctuated with vintage and contemporary pieces that give personality and life–including Swedish mid-century vases and rugs in Chinese wild silk.

In the library, a gold-on-cream rug provides an elegant bass note for guests while enjoying someone playing the piano. A pairing of neutral with unusual upholstery fabrics keeps things interesting. Lamps and tables are no wallflowers at this party.
