Combining two 3-bedroom units into one resulted in this 6,400 square foot space. Wunderground Architecture + Design handled the architectural aspects, Damon Liss Design the finishing touches. The overarching idea was not to skimp on luxury. Dark-stained oak floorboards are employed throughout; rooms are punctuated with vintage and contemporary pieces that give personality and life–including Swedish mid-century vases and rugs in Chinese wild silk.
It’s all about cozy in one of the many bedrooms–the upholstered headboard particularly so. A mottled rug makes for a plush landing when getting out of bed in the morning. The night table and lamp are sleek but brass accents provide warm shimmer.
