Maharam works hand in hand with the esteemed Danish textile company Kvadrat, its global distribution partner. United by a shared philosophy of design innovation and service excellence, Maharam represents Kvadrat in North America and Kvadrat represents Maharam in Europe, with joint ventures in Australia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. Maharam and Kvadrat are also co-owners of an Amsterdam-based rug company, which is overseen by Hella Jongerius.

Maharam is the recipient of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum Design Patron Award for its long-standing support of design education and cultural initiatives. The Maharam STEAM Fellowship in Applied Art and Design was established in association with the Rhode Island School of Design to promote a national congressional initiative to integrate art and design into STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education. As an ISO 14001-certified company, Maharam is committed to implementing progressive environmental practices. Maharam textiles are in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Modern Art and the Stedelijk Museum, among others.
