Gaufrage is a unique embossing process that creates upholstery leather of exceptional softness and beauty. The design impression is transferred to the leather by an engraved roller under high heat and low pressure for a soft natural hand without pattern match lines. Aniline Gaufrage is full grain cowhide that is roller embossed then hand-rubbed with clear, metallic and pigmented finishes. The characteristic finish effect of this leather artwork is applied by hand, the resulting variance in design and color are part of its natural beauty.
