Founded in 1938, ege is one of Europe’s leading companies in the design and production of commercial, design-inspired carpeting with respect for the environment. Our products are Cradle to Cradle- and LEED-certified, putting us among the carpet industry’s most certified companies.

About
Ege.

Focused purely on textiles, we create flooring with an edge. Our collections—from colors to textures to patterns—are designed to be mixed and matched, enabling the creation of a truly unique look for every project.

ege has kept apace with new technologies, implementing the most cutting-edge methods in the industry to create carpets in any imaginable design, with minimal lead time. Many of our products are made from 100-percent-regenerated nylon, we are entirely vinyl-free, and all of our tiles come standard with 100-percent-recycled felt backing.

Sustainability at Heart.

We aim to contribute to a more sustainable world by improving our management of environmental, social and economic challenges. We have the most advanced technology in the industry and can therefore meet the demands of the international standards established by Cradle to Cradle and EMAS. And, we are the only worldwide carpet manufacturer that meets the DS (Danish Standards) 49001 requirements, which are based on ISO 26000 requirements.

Cradle to Cradle.

All Epoca, Highline, Rawline and ReForm products are Cradle to Cradle-certified, placing us among the most Cradle to Cradle-certified companies in the industry. Cradle to Cradle is the vision of a world in which the consumption of resources not only has the smallest possible environmental footprint, but leaves a positive footprint.

Imagine a carpet made exclusively from recycled materials. After use, the carpet is broken down into smaller components, which are used to make new carpets. The energy for this production comes from offshore wind turbines, and the surplus heat from production is used to heat municipal buildings. This is the ultimate example of Cradle to Cradle’s philosophy.

The aim is to manufacture products designed to be a part of a biological or technical life cycle in which no waste is generated, harming neither people nor the environment. The aim is also to achieve CO2 neutrality and 100-percent use of renewable energy. Ideally, our process wastewater should be clean enough to be used as drinking water.

Recover by ege.

This is our take-back program for the return and recycling of used carpets. It streamlines the use of materials for as long as possible rather than disposing of them.

When we recycle carpet tiles, their lifetime is extended, and we use fewer resources to manufacture new ones. Tiles that are not suitable for resale are sent on to other companies that can use them to make other products.
