About
Monarch Plank.

Monarch Plank was born out of our team’s dedicated experience from more than 80 years in the hardwood flooring business. Most of our management team is made up of second- and third-generation hardwood flooring visionaries. Our mission is to create exquisite hardwood flooring designs, leveraging the most sophisticated modern finishing techniques that enhance, rather than cover, the natural beauty of the material that is our passion—wood. We choose to source only the highest quality woods and build our floors to the strictest standards.

This unwavering commitment to quality results in what we believe to be the finest hardwood flooring available. Monarch Plank flooring is offered in a wide range of distinct sizes and finishes that are appropriate for residential and commercial use. We invite you to discover hardwood floors that effortlessly balance modern style with the appeal of old-world European luxury.

Environmental Stewardship.

At Monarch Plank, we are committed to protecting the health of our forests and our customers. Our wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests in Europe and the U.S., and we strive to use the most eco-friendly adhesives and finishes available.

Championing the Evolution of Hardwood Flooring.

Designers’ and consumers’ tastes in hardwood floors continue to grow more sophisticated. At Monarch Plank, we celebrate this movement toward authenticity in the design aesthetic. We believe that wood’s natural beauty should be celebrated, not covered with heavily pigmented stains, and we are at the forefront of employing cutting-edge techniques such as fuming (aka smoking), carbonization and reactive stain technologies to achieve distinct, natural-looking colors. While traditional wood stains add color by painting pigments on top of the wood, these techniques create color from within the wood by causing reactions in its natural ingredients. The results are spectacular—a dramatic departure from traditional high-build, high-gloss floor finishes.
